Jessica and Louis met as undergrads during orientation at Washington University in St. Louis. Later, they both went on to earn their master’s degrees from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Their wedding was originally planned for 2020, but it had to be rescheduled due to Covid. We think their gorgeous gathering at Adler Planetarium in August 2021 was definitely worth the wait. We loved working with this upbeat couple and with Michelle of MC Designs, who helped plan and style the whole event. The floral decorations included large elevated centerpieces in classic golden bowls, floating wreath centerpieces with hanging votives, and lots and lots of romantic candles in glass. There were roses galore, including Sarah, Vendela, Bridal Akito, and Playa Blanca varieties. Other floral selections included mini calla lilies, hypericum, Mokara orchids, blue thistle, ranunculus, dendrobium orchids, hydrangeas, lilies, godetia, waxflower, lisianthus, and stock, with eucalyptus, Italian ruscus, and Israeli ruscus, too. It was a modern Jewish ceremeony with a classic gold and white reception and a beautiful starry setting under glass. In keeping with the moonlight view, Jessica and Louis selected the song Dancing in the Moolight for their first dance, and we wish them many, many happy years of dancing in the moonlight together. Thank you Jessica and Louis for letting us play a part in your wonderful day, and congratulations on your upcoming first anniversary this August!
