Estelle and Kosta met on Chicago's Red Line and just naturally connected because of their common interests in youth ministries and their passion for the city's food scene. Two years later, Kosta proposed while they were visiting a Napa winery together. Their wedding featured a stunning Greek ceremony at the bride’s childhood church, St. John the Baptist in Des Plaines, then a fairytale outdoor garden reception for over 200 guests at the beautiful Skokie Country Club.
The celebration began on the golf course, with cocktails and a delicious seafood tower, then transitioned to a sit-down dinner on the club's scenic terrace. “As the sun and lighting changed, so did the guest experience” said Estelle. The floral decorations featured a romantic palette of white, green, soft pink, and gold, with roses, hydrangeas, spray roses, ranunculus, lisianthus, peonies, Dendrobium orchids, Italian ruscus, bay leaves, olive branches, and hanging votive candles. There were two tasty sweets tables with goodies from Altissima and homemade Greek pastries from family members, too. The evening was capped off with romantic twinkle lights, as guests danced under the stars, then a truly grand finale of amazing fireworks.
Featured on Modern Luxury Weddings Chicago, this was truly a wedding to remember. Congratulaions Estelle and Kosta. We loved being a part of your magical day, and we wish you a very happy ever after!
