Rita and Randy's Chicago wedding combined formal white, silver and soft blue with sunny yellow highlights and playful accents, including an appearance by their very photogenic bulldog, Chuck. The ceremony was at historic St. Josaphat Church in the Lincoln Park area, with its two impressive Romanesque bell towers. The reception was at the gorgeous Germania Place in the heart of Chicago's Gold Coast, with its stunning arched windows and Gilded Age architecture. The bride's lace gown was incredible. Yet, amidst the history and glamour of the gathering, the couple's warmth and personality still shined through. Their invitations had a vintage flavor with a whimsical flair, the cupcakes at their reception were marvelous, and the floral decorations by Phillip's Flowers Chicago had a casual, unpretentious appeal. Featured blossoms included roses, spray roses, mini calla lilies, hydrangea, freesia, and craspedia, accented with Dusty Miller.
